Open Your Hips

Hip Opening · Emotional Release · Pelvic Alignment

Watch · 7 Minutes to Open Your Hips

7 minutes and your hips are going to thank you. Your hips hold more than tension. They hold your story. And opening them changes everything from your lower back to your emotional state to the way you carry yourself in the world.

Tight hips are one of the most common physical complaints I hear from the Polistic community. And what most people do not realize is that hip tightness is rarely just physical. Your hips are one of the primary places your body stores stress, unprocessed emotion, and the weight of everything you have been carrying.

This 7 minute practice is one I return to again and again. It is gentle, it is deep, and it reaches places that most movement practices simply cannot access without the support of the pole.

When you open your hips you do not just free your body. You free everything that has been stored there waiting to be released.

3 Ways Tight Hips Are Affecting Your Life

Most people have no idea how much their hip tightness is influencing the way they feel every single day. Here are the three most common ways it shows up and what Polistic does to address each one.

What Hip Tightness Is Costing You

01
Chronic hip and lower back pain. Tight hips are one of the leading causes of lower back pain. When your hips cannot move freely your spine compensates and that compensation creates compression and pain. Opening the hips is often the missing piece people have been searching for.
02
Stored emotional tension. Your hips are where your body holds grief, stress, fear, and unprocessed emotion. People cry during hip opening practices and that is not a coincidence. That is healing happening in real time. Polistic creates a safe container for that release.
03
Poor posture and pelvic alignment. When your hips are locked your entire pelvis tilts, your spine curves to compensate, and your posture suffers throughout your whole body. Polistic resets pelvic alignment from the ground up. You will stand differently after this practice.

What Your Body Feels Like After

People consistently tell me that after hip opening work with the pole they feel lighter. More grounded. Like something they have been carrying for years has finally been set down. That is the power of this practice and it is available to you in just 7 minutes.
